I bought the Maricopa in the winter of 2003 and moved up here to Canyon Lake from Abilene, TX. I completely remodeled the Maricopa in early 2011.

I was raised in the lower Texas valley and I have been in the oil business all of my life.

I have lots of friends who come up to the hotel to visit and enjoy all of the activities this area has to offer. I love to come and visit my own hotel and just relax on the Guadalupe river. My hobbies are anything water related such as tubing, kayaking, canoeing, rafting, boating and fishing.

I started to work at the Maricopa in March 2004. I had worked in the area but not on the river; it was a totally different experience.

I have lived in the Canyon Lake area for over 15 years. I moved up here from San Antonio to be near my sister and to experience a slower pace of life.

When I'm not working I enjoy yard work, playing with my pets and shopping.
